Questions for Funeral Director

Dealing with death is with no doubt a very difficult and traumatic time for those having to come to terms with the death of a close one. As well as the emotional issues that arise during the initial stage of death, a number of practical matters will also require attention both immediate and at a later stage.

Attached are leaflets outlining answers to a number of questions frequently asked during this period. If you have questions that have not been answered in this section please contact directly with your query and the Death Care Academy will endeavour to provide you with the information you require.

Questions relating directly to the death of a person

What to do if a relative dies at home.
When a death that was expected occurs at home or in a nursing home, the first point of call is the Doctor who treated the deceased during their final illness. The Doctor will need to issue a medical certificate outlining cause of death so that a Funeral Director can make the necessary arrangements.
