- Kevin Myers, Ireland’s leading cultural sociologist in death dying and bereavement
Damon’s talk will explore topics central to his latest book ’Turning Art Into Science: Applying Chemistry to Funeral Service’. Shawna will share her experience in managing one of Los Angeles busiest and high profile combination mortuary-cemeteries and Kevin will investigate contemporary views on death, dying and bereavement in Ireland.
A copy of ‘Turning Art Into Science: Applying Chemistry to Funeral Service’ is included in the attendance fee for those who register early. To date this textbook is now in use in several accredited institutions across the U.S. It is lauded by both lecturers and students as making embalming chemistry readable and relatable to non-chemists.
